Vision: R. E. Uptegraff Manufacturing wanted to be able to add to their existing website a way to make publications and manuals for their product line available online. They also wanted their clients to be able to see images of their transformers as they are being built.

Problem: Uptegraff's original website consisted of only static content and therefore had no easy way to add the publications, manuals, and images they needed.

Solution: Ethix Systems migrated the website to a new server that supported web application technologies and developed a series of administrative pages. This allows Uptegraff to add content themselves to the site, which has benefited them greatly.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. This is why with the advent of high speed internet services, such as cable and DSL, image and media rich websites became the preferred way of conveying information. If you have a good knowledge of HTML and image manipulation software, such as Photoshop, you can make some fantastic looking websites. However, these technologies have a high learning curve, and this sort of image manipulation can be very time consuming, even if you are quite proficient at these technologies, and especially if you need to apply an affect across several images.
Using the built in GD libraries of PHP, Ethix Systems can manipulate images for a web format without altering the original file. All the user needs to do is upload a file, and then it can be manipulated in any way before being displayed. It can be resized, made grayscale, inverted, filtered, brightened, and many more. This is a very efficient way to apply the same changes to a large number of images in very little time.
One of the most interesting manipulations that can be done is watermarking. You can easily add a watermark to all of your images on your website, protecting them from image pirating.
Try uploading your own photos to our demo, and see just a few of the changes you can make instantly.
